Our nine housing schemes across Birmingham city provide affordable rented accommodation for people aged over 60, or 55 with disabilities. We want our tenants to be safe, well and happy in their homes, so we’ve recently produced a series of advice leaflets for them about keeping themselves and others safe. The leaflets explain fire safety, electrical safety, water hygiene (legionella) safety and asbestos safety in plain English.
Our Supported Living Schemes all have a tenant support officer who is there to offer practical support and advice, or a listening ear to tenants, as well as organising activities according to the tenants’ interests. If you have any questions about safety in your home, please talk to them. If you are in our independent rented accommodation please contact our Housing Manager or our support office for more information.
You’ll find all our new safety information here or you can download a copy from the links below.
We have more detailed information about how to safely charge electrical items running on lithium-ion batteries, you can read this fire safety advice here.
You’ll can also find our earlier advice leaflet on reducing damp and condensation in your home here
