New care program for residents with advanced dementia or needing end of life care

What is Namaste Care?

Namaste is an Indian greeting that translates to “honor the spirit within.” The Namaste Care program, developed by Joyce Simard in the USA, aims to provide comfort and joy to individuals with advanced dementia through meaningful engagement and sensory activities, particularly through touch and movement.

Robert Harvey House staff thanked in memory of Sue

BCOP homes opened their doors to families, friends and neighbours at our summer garden fetes in August

New dementia cafes start in September

BCOP nursing homes will host new dementia support groups

BCOP are pleased to be the venues for new dementia cafes  from September ’24 with the Birmingham Dementia Carers Hub (a partnership between Age UK Birmingham, Age Concern Birmingham and Dementia Carers Count Birmingham that provides a range of support to those who look after someone with dementia).
