As part of BCOP's 80th anniversary celebrations, we're inviting our residents, families, staff, volunteers, supporters and local community to help create a special time capsule that will capture a snapshot of life in 2026.
The time capsule will be sealed during our 1946 Street Party at Robert Harvey House on 25 July 2026 and carefully preserved until it is opened during BCOP's 100th anniversary celebrations in 2046.
We're looking for small, meaningful items that tell the story of life today. They might include a handwritten letter to the future, a favourite recipe, a photograph, a drawing, a newspaper cutting, an event programme, a bus ticket, a shopping receipt, a poem, or something that reflects your everyday life, hopes and memories.
In 20 years' time, these items will provide a fascinating glimpse into what mattered to people in 2026, helping future generations understand how we lived, what we celebrated and what we hoped the future would bring.
Whether you've been part of the BCOP family for many years or have only recently discovered our charity, we'd love you to play a part in this unique project.
