Dementia cafe at Anita Stone Court

Dementia cafes are  informal, monthly events where people with dementia and their carers can meet and get to know others on a similar journey.

The meetings are run by experienced advisors who provide practical support, advice  and information. They have expert guest speakers.

Everyone is encouraged to take part in dementia friendly activities, which will include talks, music, arts and crafts, games and quizzes. They are a great opportunity to have a chat and make new friends.

Our BCOP care home staff work with the Birmingham Dementia Carers Hub (a partnership between Age UK Birmingham, Age Concern Birmingham and Dementia Carers Count Birmingham that provides a range of support to those who look after someone with dementia) to support you.

All our dementia cafes are free, so why not come along to one and have a cup of tea with someone who understands?
