The staff at Robert Harvey House have received a generous donation from the family of Sue, which will be divided equally between the staff and welfare funds. This is in addition to a previous donation to the BCOP charity.
Sue spent the last 2 years of her life with us. She held strong religious beliefs and would regularly give away any surplus cash to make a difference to the lives of others, before her dementia prevented her from managing her own financial affairs. Her family wanted their gift to make a difference to the lives of our staff and residents as that was what Sue would have wanted to do.
Her family said “the last years of her life spent with you were so very much better than we dared to expect: your staff made that difference. If Sue’s gift can benefit the staff as well as the residents that would have pleased her, we witnessed so many acts of kindness each day.”
On behalf of all the staff and residents at Robert Harvey House, manager Anthea Reid thanked Sue’s family for their kind words and generous support, which is much appreciated.
