Volunteer with BCOP

We are always keen to hear from people who’d like to volunteer at either our nursing homes or housing schemes.  Whether you’re keen to put your existing skills to good use, or want to develop new skills, there are lots of opportunities.  You could be:

• planning and organising activities for residents and tenants
• taking residents and tenants out on day trips
• spending time with residents reminiscing and chatting
• helping at meal times
• helping maintain our gardens and our buildings

Duke of Edinburgh scheme

We accept young people who are looking for a volunteer placement as part of their Duke of Edinburgh Award.

Work experience

If you’re studying Health & Social Care, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech Therapy or another allied health discipline, we can offer work experience placements.

Corporate volunteering

If your company is looking for a way to give back to the local community, then why not consider a Corporate Volunteering Day at one of our nursing homes.  We frequently welcome a team from Virgin Media who come to paint or to spruce up the gardens and outdoor space at Robert Harvey House.
