International workers’ day: the jobs we remember
Join us at Anita Stone Court as we mark International Workers’ Day with a heartfelt celebration of the working lives and achievements of our residents and staff.
This special event, The Jobs We Remember, is a chance to reflect on the roles, skills, and experiences that have shaped our community. From first jobs to lifelong careers, every story has value—and every memory deserves to be shared.
What to expect
Sharing memories of past jobs – residents and staff are invited to talk about their working lives, favourite roles, and proudest achievements
Meeting visiting professionals – guests connected to residents’ former occupations will help bring those memories to life
Careers-style reflection session – a gentle, informal look back at different professions and what they meant to each person
Conversation, refreshments and storytelling – a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere to enjoy time together
This is more than just an event—it’s a celebration of dedication, resilience, and the many contributions that have built the lives we see today.
✨ Everyone is warmly welcome to join us for this meaningful day of reflection and connection.
