Anita Stone Court, BCOP’s care home in Moseley, Birmingham, has been recognised as one of the most recommended homes in the West Midlands, winning a ‘Top 20’ Award from carehome.co.uk; BCOP as an organisation won a ‘Top 20 Small Care Home Group’ Award.
Janet Galloway, BCOP’s Head of Care Quality remarked, “This award gives relatives looking for care for their loved ones confidence in the nature and quality of care BCOP homes provide, knowing that the reviewers speak from their own experience. All our staff – from the catering and maintenance teams through to the care and nursing staff – feel privileged to care for our residents.”
Reviews are submitted by relatives and friends and are independently verified by carehome.co.uk. Reviewers are asked to rate the overall standard of care provided, as well as other factors including the cleanliness, food, activities, safety and value for money that the home provides.
Sara Connolly, General Manager of Anita Stone Court, commented, “Staff here are so proud that their dedication to high standards of care has been publicly recognised by our residents’ friends and relatives.” She explained, “Working closely with relatives and the local community to enrich the daily lives of our residents is at the heart of our approach to care.” That close bond that staff have nurtured with residents and their relatives has never been more important than now, when staff are supporting residents and relatives through the current pandemic situation.
Open and regular communication with relatives is a feature of all three of BCOP’s care homes and while relatives often tell us how happy they are with the care their loved ones receive, it’s wonderful that so many have felt moved to write a carehome.co.uk review, to share their experience of the care homes with others.
