Neville Williams House

Personal, respectful, and empowering
highest standards of care for older people

Neville Williams House is a welcoming nursing home in Selly Park, Birmingham, offering high-quality, person-centred care for older people, including those living with dementia, frailty or complex nursing needs. With a welcoming and family feel, low staff turnover, and commitment to seeing the person behind the condition. Our long-serving team takes time to understand each resident, offering care that’s as individual as they are, creating a warm, safe space where residents can live life their way.

We believe that care should be personal, respectful, and empowering. Our philosophy puts residents at the centre of every decision, encouraging independence, choice, and connection. This is more than just a place to live – it is a vibrant community where people are treated with dignity, their wishes respected, and their lives celebrated.

Neville Williams House offers 50 spacious ensuite bedrooms, each with a level access shower, TV point, telephone line, nurse call system, and a small fridge. Rooms can be personalised with familiar furnishings and keepsakes to create a homely atmosphere.

Our shared spaces include peaceful gardens, an outdoor café, quiet lounges, a small shop, an on-site salon, and even a pub for socialising and enjoying sporting events. Bluebell Walk, our dedicated area for residents living with advanced dementia, features a unique replica train carriage that plays countryside scenery – helping to spark joyful memories and meaningful engagement.

Nursing care

Tailored to the individual

Our experienced, full-time nursing and care team provide 24/7 support tailored to individual needs. Each resident is assigned a dedicated keyworker who builds a trusting relationship and helps them settle in.

We work closely with local GPs, as well as visiting dentists, opticians, physiotherapists and chiropodists. Our approach is personal and family-centred, involving loved ones in care planning and offering regular updates to ensure peace of mind.

Keeping healthy and active

Activities to support wellbeing and independence

Our dedicated Activity Team delivers a varied and engaging daily programme, including:

  • Reminiscence and memory-based activities
  • Gentle exercise and music therapy
  • Arts and crafts, baking and gardening
  • Pet therapy sessions
  • Day trips to local attractions

We work with each resident to continue their favourite hobbies and interests wherever possible. Activities are tailored to individual needs and designed to enhance physical, emotional and cognitive wellbeing.
