Universal day of culture at Anita Stone Court
Join us at Anita Stone Court on 15 April for our Universal Day of Culture celebration, a special event recognising the rich cultures, traditions and communities that make our world so diverse and interesting.
Universal Day of Culture is all about appreciating the customs, languages and creativity of people from around the globe. Throughout the day, residents, relatives and visitors will be invited to enjoy a range of themed activities designed to be engaging, creative and great fun.
Our language corner will give everyone the chance to learn a few simple greetings from different languages. Residents and staff will enjoy practicing words such as hello, thank you and welcome, sharing smiles along the way as they discover new ways to connect.
We will also be exploring arts and crafts from around the world, with easy activities inspired by global traditions. These may include pattern colouring, collage, lantern making, textile art and simple symbolic crafts, giving everyone the chance to get creative while celebrating cultures from across the world.
A themed meal will also be available for this event, priced between £8 and £10. The exact price and menu options will be announced closer to the date.
Universal Day of Culture promises to be a warm and colourful occasion, full of shared learning, creativity and conversation. We look forward to welcoming you to Anita Stone Court for a day of cultural discovery and community spirit.
