May day celebration of spring at Anita Stone Court

Friends and families are invited to come and celebrate spring at Anita Stone Court on Thursday, 1st May.
We'll be discussing the history and traditions of May Day and there will be Maypole dancing. Residents will be weaving ribbons as a craft activity, enjoying spring quiz activities and listening to traditional spring time folk tunes.

10:30 AM – Welcome & opening remarks
• Brief history of May Day
• Welcome message to residents and guests
11:00 AM – Traditional Maypole Dance.
• If dancing isn’t possible, residents can help weave
ribbons
11:30 AM – Activities
• Springtime quiz
12:30 PM – Refreshments
1:30 PM – Singalong & Wind Down
• Group singing of classic spring songs or folk tunes
• Closing remarks and thank you
