This week, we bid farewell to Deepaka, Rachel and Lami, our amazing first-year students from Birmingham City University. For the past 12 weeks, they’ve been a vital part of our team, immersing themselves in the world of nursing older adults in Health and Social Care at Robert Harvey house.

Throughout their placement, they’ve not only gained practical experience but have also witnessed firsthand the challenges and rewards that come with caring for this special community. From developing their skills in providing compassionate care to learning the intricacies of supporting individuals with complex needs, they’ve shown incredible growth.

As they prepare to take the next step in their journey, we can’t help but feel proud of how far they’ve come. Their dedication, enthusiasm, and commitment have been inspiring. While we’re sad to see them go but we’re excited for the future they’ll build in the world of nursing.  We know they’ll carry the lessons they’ve learned here into the next chapter of their careers.
