Housing compliance officer
Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housing Compliance Officer to join our team at BCOP. In this role, you will be responsible for managing tenancy allocations, delivering high-quality housing management services, supporting maintenance operations, and ensuring compliance with all housing and safety regulations.

You will be part of a collaborative team, providing essential support to older people in our care homes and housing schemes, ensuring they have safe, comfortable, and well-maintained homes.

Location: Office in Stirchley, managing various properties across Birmingham
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 (depending on experience)
Hours: 35 hours per week

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities:

  • Allocate properties and support new tenants in setting up their tenancies.
  • Manage tenancy agreements, arrears, and maintenance issues.
  • Work with contractors to ensure properties are maintained to high standards.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.
Qualifications
  • Experience in housing management and property maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of housing law and benefit systems.
  • Excellent communication, administrative, and IT skills.
  • Full UK Driving license and access to a car.
