DESCRIPTION:Dementia cafes are  informal\, monthly events where people with dementia and their carers can meet and get to know others on a similar journey. \nThe meetings are run by experienced advisors who provide practical support\, advice  and information. They have expert guest speakers. \nEveryone is encouraged to take part in dementia friendly activities\, which will include talks\, music\, arts and crafts\, games and quizzes. They are a great opportunity to have a chat and make new friends. \nOur BCOP care home staff work with the Birmingham Dementia Carers Hub (a partnership between Age UK Birmingham\, Age Concern Birmingham and Dementia Carers Count Birmingham that provides a range of support to those who look after someone with dementia) to support you. \nAll our dementia cafes are free\, so why not come along to one and have a cup of tea with someone who understands?

DESCRIPTION:Join us as we celebrate Thai New Year (Songkran) at Anita Stone Court with a vibrant and meaningful day of culture\, connection and community. \nOur festivities will begin with a warm welcome\, followed by traditional Thai music and a cultural presentation\, including a Thai blessing. Residents and guests can take part in a range of interactive activities including crafts\, a themed quiz\, and enjoy a specially prepared Thai-inspired lunch. The day will end with more music\, time to socialise and capture memories with photos. \nWe are proud to honour the heritage of one of our Thai residents and look forward to sharing this special celebration with our home community.
