DESCRIPTION:Dementia cafes are  informal\, monthly events where people with dementia and their carers can meet and get to know others on a similar journey. \nThe meetings are run by experienced advisors who provide practical support\, advice  and information. They have expert guest speakers. \nEveryone is encouraged to take part in dementia friendly activities\, which will include talks\, music\, arts and crafts\, games and quizzes. They are a great opportunity to have a chat and make new friends. \nOur BCOP care home staff work with the Birmingham Dementia Carers Hub (a partnership between Age UK Birmingham\, Age Concern Birmingham and Dementia Carers Count Birmingham that provides a range of support to those who look after someone with dementia) to support you. \nAll our dementia cafes are free\, so why not come along to one and have a cup of tea with someone who understands?

DESCRIPTION:Get ready for a day of green and grins on Monday 17th March as we celebrate St Patrick’s Day in true Irish style at Anita Stone Court. \nResidents and guests will enjoy a wonderful mix of Irish music\, light-hearted quizzes and shamrock crafts\, bringing everyone together for a proper celebration filled with laughter and festive cheer. There may even be a chorus or two of a well-loved Irish favourite echoing down the corridors. \nAt lunchtime\, we’ll be serving up “a taste of Ireland” with a hearty Irish stew\, traditional soda bread\, creamy mashed potatoes\, cabbage and leeks – the sort of comforting meal that warms both heart and soul. And of course\, no celebration would be complete without something sweet. Our green-themed treats will add a playful Irish twist to dessert and are guaranteed to raise a smile. \nWe look forward to celebrating together – a little bit of Irish magic goes a long way!

DESCRIPTION:Dementia cafes are  informal\, monthly events where people with dementia and their carers can meet and get to know others on a similar journey. \nThe meetings are run by experienced advisors who provide practical support\, advice  and information. They have expert guest speakers. \nEveryone is encouraged to take part in dementia friendly activities\, which will include talks\, music\, arts and crafts\, games and quizzes. They are a great opportunity to have a chat and make new friends. \nOur BCOP care home staff work with the Birmingham Dementia Carers Hub (a partnership between Age UK Birmingham\, Age Concern Birmingham and Dementia Carers Count Birmingham that provides a range of support to those who look after someone with dementia) to support you. \nAll our dementia cafes are free\, so why not come along to one and have a cup of tea with someone who understands?
